7th Graders Explore Nation's Capital
On Friday afternoon, members of the Class of 2020 returned home from visiting the Nation’s Capital. The group left on Tuesday, May 30th, and headed north for a night in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. On the first night, everyone enjoyed dinner at CiCi’s Pizza and a night at The Track for go-karts, putt putt, and bumper boats. After another day on the road, everyone arrived in Washington, D.C. During the two days in D.C., the group visited:
- U.S. Capitol for a tour
- The National Archives
- Smithsonian Museum of Natural History
- National Monuments
- The International Spy Museum
- Arlington National Cemetery
- The White House for photos
- Smithsonian Museum of American History
- Smithsonian Air and Space
- Nationals Park for a Major League Baseball Game
The group spent the final days of the trip back in Pigeon Forge for a day at Dollywood and the Lumberjack Feud Dinner Show before returning home.
