Rod West '86 Named President of Utility Group

RodWest1The Entergy Corporation has recently named Rod West ’86 as group president of utility operations. West is currently theexecutive vice president for the Entergy Corporation in the Office of the Chief Executive and has responsibility for Entergy’s shared services functions which support the commercial activities of the utility and nuclear operations, as well as wholesale commodities businesses.  Rod will take on his new role from the retiring Theo Buntin starting July 1.  He will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the regulated utilities. That will include electric and natural gas distribution, and customer service operations.  In addition, Rod will oversee the utility’s interactions with state and local regulators.

Rod received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame and his Juris Doctor from the Tulane University School of Law in 1993. He also received his MBA from Tulane University in 2005. Rod remains close to Brother Martin through the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association, Crusader Cook-off, Crimson & Gold Network, and Celebration of the Crest. While at Brother Martin, he was a Golden Crusader and a James B. Branton Award recipient.
