Crusader Parent Seminar: Social Media and the Internet

FBI LogoIn an effort to increase awareness and to be proactive regarding online safety, Brother Martin High School will host a seminar for parents on Social Media and the Internet on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Brother Mark Thornton Terrace. The presentation will outline tips for ensuring that your son is making good and safe choices while using the Internet and various social media platforms.

Our guest presenter, from the Community Outreach Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, will share information about responsible Internet use for teenagers. The presentation will also make parents aware of the popular social media platforms that are being used by young people. You should make plans to be at the presentation for about 1 hour, and following the presentation, there will be time for questions that can be directed to the presenter and/or to the Brother Martin Guidance Counselors, to Assistant Dean of Students Mark Bordelon, or to Dean of Students Michael Lynn ’04.

If you are unable to attend the presentation but would like to discuss online safety or social media concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mr. Lynn via email at [email protected].
