Alumni Baseball Trip Visits Philly
This August, Brother Martin alumni and friends traveled to Philadelphia, PA for the annual Alumni Baseball Trip. The group enjoyed two Philadelphia Phillies’ victories over the Miami Marlins, took in some great cuisine and sites on the ‘Philly Food Tour,’ as well as visiting a number of historical sites in ‘The City of Brotherly Love.’
In addition, the 1999 Alumnus of the Year Dr. Charles O’Brien ’58 SA, Vice-Chair of Psychiatry at Penn and the founding director of the prestigious Center for Studies of Addiction, visited with the group during a social at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. In addition, David Stechmann ’81, in town for a professional conference, happened to run into the attendees at the group social. AJ Talamo ’63 SA commented “it was a great trip to Philadelphia! We all appreciate the Brother Martin Advancement Office on making this a successful trip.”
Thank you to all our attendees for a great trip! If you are interested in the 2019 Alumni Baseball Trip next summer, please contact the Advancement Office at 504-284-6700 or email [email protected].
