Catholic Schools Week Liturgy
Brother Martin High School gathered as one school community in Christ to take part in our Catholic Schools Week liturgy, led by Fr. Andrew Sanchez ’03, in the Robert M. Conlin Gymnasium on January 25, 2022. Afterward, the Bro. More Schaefer Award recipient for the 2021-2022 school year was named.

After the liturgy, principal Ryan Gallagher ’00 spoke to the importance of the Bro. More Schaefer Award, stating: “it is not an annual teacher of the year award. It is much, much more than that.”
Mr. Gallagher continued: “Through his work, he (this year’s Bro. More Schaefer Award recipient) treats the entire Brother Martin community as part of his team; He is a mix of firmness, fairness, and compassion as he strives to teach young men to be tough, particularly in the face of adversity. In so many ways, he pushes all of us to compete to be at our best. And regardless of whether you think you’ve succeeded or failed, he is there to remind you to finish. Team. Tough. Compete. Finish.”
“At this time I ask school President Mr. Greg Rando ’77 to join me in presenting this year’s Bro. More Schaefer Award to our outstanding faculty member, Mr. Mark Bonis.”
