Crusader Band Performs Annual Spring Concert

DSC06468On Wednesday evening, the Jefferson Performing Arts Center was filled with friendly faces awaiting the Crusader Band Spring Concert. The evening opened up with the Symphonic Band performing songs by Harold Bennett, Robert Sheldon, and David Herring. Following, the concert band performed on stage with arrangements of “Washington Post March” all the way to “First Suite in Eb for Military Band”. To conclude the concert program, the novice band performed a “Star Wars” arrangement along with the Brother Martin fight song for our audience.

Throughout the concert program, Mr. Dominick Caronna ‘85 and Mr. Christopher Bailey ‘86 recognized several students for their distinct band awards.

As the crowd thought the performance was complete, the Crusader Bandsmen had a grand finale planned up their sleeve! The audience heard the drums patter as the sound grew closer. The Crusader Marching Band’s drumline stood all in a row on an elevating stage from underneath! It was a sight to see. Watch the video below for the full performance.

Congratulations to the Class of 2018 band members! We are so proud of all your commitment and excellence in the Brother Martin band program. A great round of applause goes to all of our students who performed last night. It was a wonderful showcase of our Brother Martin band’s talents.
