Crusader Rugby Recognized at 2018 Convocation

After an impressive season, the Crusader Rugby Team came together to celebrate at the 2018 Rugby Convocation. The Rugby team, coached under the direction of Mr. Gary Giepert ‘80, successfully advanced all the way to the Rugby State Finals against the Jesuit Blue Jays. The Crusaders put up a tough match for the Blue Jays and walked away in the State Runner-up position. Congratulations to members of the Crusader rugby team for their hard work and dedication on the field!

Most Valuable Back: Jack Tucker ’18

Most Valuable Forward: Jordan Glahn ’18

Most Improved Back: Vincent Rizzo ’18

Most Improved Forward: Jonathan Cohn ’19

Thanks to Coach Gary and his assistant coaches who have voluntarily dedicated their time and talents to the Crusader rugby team for many years!  In addition, thanks to Mr. Ed Merritt, Brother Martin Rugby Moderator and Latin teacher, for making sure that all of the ‘behind the scenes’ details are covered.
