Future Crusaders Discover the Crusader Spirit
Welcome to Brother Martin! On Friday, October 11, over 250 prospective students stepped foot on Brother Martin’s campus for a night of camaraderie and excitement with Crusader students and members of the faculty and staff.
Crusader Discovery Night hosted 5th – 7th-grade students who “discovered” the Crusader spirit through games, food, club presentations, and a spirited pep rally. Student Ambassadors welcomed these middle schoolers, inviting them to take part in activities both indoors and outdoors while showing them all the amenities Brother Martin has to offer from our newly renovated Tom and Gayle Benson Mall to our newly air-conditioned Conlin Gymnasium.
Prospective students were treated to pizza, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and items homemade by our own student Culinary Crusaders. Student Council President Nolan Bourgeois ’20 welcomed our guests to campus in the Conlin Gymnasium. From there, the students were divided into four groups based on the color of the wristband (crimson, gold, white, gray) they received at check-in. They then ‘discovered’ Brother Martin through four different rotations consisting of Brother Martin academics, demonstrations by the science department in the Meyer Building, and extracurricular and athletics fair in the first floor Resource Center and Brother Mark Thornton Terrace.
At the end of the night, future Crusaders enjoyed a pep rally with relays and cheers with Student Council, Crusader Band, and Crusader Cheerleaders in the Conlin Gymnasium for all to view. Thank you to all prospects who attended our annual 2019 Crusader Discovery Night!
