Patrons ‘Cheers to 50 Years’ at 2018 Celebration of the Crest!
On Saturday, December 8, Brother Martin patrons and guests gathered for the annual Celebration of the Crest at the New Orleans Marriott. The auction theme this year was ‘Cheers to 50 Years’ to recognize the fifty-year celebration of Brother Martin High School. The event welcomed nearly 700 guests including parents, friends, alumni of St. Aloysius, Cor Jesu, and Brother Martin, as well as faculty and staff of Brother Martin. The chair couple for the event was Ami and Charles Martinez ‘85, co-chair couple was Kim and Jamie Munoz, along with past chair couple Mia and Scott Corrente ‘83.
The golden anniversary celebration began with a premium Patron Reception at 6:30 p.m. Once 7:30 p.m. rolled around, auction guests began to fill the Marriott Grand Ballroom with gold glitz and glamour. The evening’s master of ceremonies was Mr. Mark Romig ‘74 who kept the live auction bidding fast and furious! A selection of silent and live auction items were open for bidding, and guests tried their luck with several raffles including the “$5,000 Cash Raffle,” “Ramsey’s Reverse Raffle” “50/50,” “52,” and more. Nine items were up for the live auction where Student Ambassadors helped bidders to “Bid High” and bid often. Guests enjoyed music by Uptown Phunk as they danced the night away. Auction sponsors and donors were recognized throughout the night on dual oversized screens.
This event, sponsored by the Brother Martin Parents Club, is the school’s largest annual fundraiser benefiting the student body. Thank you to all of our generous supporters who helped to make the night a success. We look forward to another great event next year!
