Peake BMW Comes From Behind to Defeat Retif Oil

Peake BMW and Retif Oil met in a Summer Legion League rematch on Monday, June 24th for another instant classic.  The last time the two teams faced off, the Brother Martin based-team gave up just one hit in a 3-2 victory over its Catholic League rival.

Retif Oil gained momentum after a five-hit first inning to gain a 2-0 advantage and led 3-1 in the fifth when Retif Oil Coach decided to make a pitching change.  Retif Oil pitching combined to give up three runs, but Peake BMW got help from two costly errors during the inning.  Peake BMW added two runs in the sixth when Retif Oil’s defense fell apart as it committed consecutive errors, giving the Brother Martin-based team all they needed to square away a 6-4 victory.

Peake BMW was led by Owen Magee and Parker Oubre, who both had critical RBIs in the game-deciding inning.

Peake BMW will play Post 307 at Kirsch-Rooney on Wednesday at 5:00 pm.
