Soccer does it again!
Last night the Varsity Soccer team traveled to Dutchtown for a quarterfinal match-up. At the half, play was evenly matched with the score knotted at 0-0. Dutchtown was able to strike first and took the lead mid-way through the 2nd half. However, the Crusaders were able to capitalize on a Brandon Broders penalty kick tying the score at 1-1. In spite of constant offensive pressure, the Crusaders were not able to score again in regulation play, resulting in two over time periods. At the end of the first period of overtime, the score was still tied at 1-1. In the second overtime period, the Crusaders pressured Dutchtown and scored on a header by Brandon Broders delivered by Christian Canales. This goal gave the Crusaders the lead and sealed the victory.
