Thank You for Helping #CoolTheConlin!
With the help of over 230 donors, our Brother Martin community of alumni, current and past parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, students, friends, and donors raised over $72,000 in just one week to air condition our Conlin Gymnasium!
The funds raised for our #CoolTheConlin online campaign went directly to the Conlin Gym Improvements Fund. But why #CoolTheConlin?
After several renovations on campus, we are now turning our attention to the Robert M. Conlin Gymnasium. This summer we plan to A/C this facility, and we need your support through GiveCampus. By air conditioning the gym, Brother Martin will be able to:
- Celebrate school-wide Liturgies comfortably
- Expand the usage of the gym for dances and concerts
- Increase enrollment for summer camps
- Allow for other enhancements such as a new wood floor, locker room renovations, bleachers, and technology
- Potential fundraising events on campus
Throughout the #CoolTheConlin online campaign, there was alumni and donor representation from across the map! With donations spanning across the states from Washington, California, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Illinois, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and Connecticut.
Our class leader board was neck-and-neck the whole week, but the Class of 2002 came out with the most donors and the Class of 1999 peaked with the most funds raised for an alumni class. The classes placing second and third for most participation are the Classes of 1990 and 1992. The classes placing second and third for the most funds raised are the Classes of 1977 and 1976.
Special thanks to David Schommer ‘79, Glenn Moore ‘83, and Armando Margan ‘83 for creating matches and Mr. Jimmy Gatti for creating a challenge. Katie Hebert Stromboe led advocates by generating 62 clicks and 5 gifts, totaling $405 just by sharing.
