Thomas Peters '15 Headed to IAAF Championships

Congratulations to Thomas Peters ’15 for placing second in javelin with a toss of 62.77m (205’11”) at the 2016 USATF Junior Outdoor Championships at Buchanon High School in Clovis, CA. His placement qualified him to represent the United States in the IAAF World U20 Championships to be held in Bydgoszcz, Poland on July 19-24. Southern Miss reported that Peters posted a season-best mark of 70.44m (231-1) in the javelin. In addition, he took fifth place at the C-USA Outdoor Championship while also qualifying for the NCAA East Preliminary.
