World Youth Day
On Sunday, over two dozen Brother Martin students joined Archbishop Gregory Aymond CJ ’67 and 1400 high school students from around the Archdiocese of New Orleans to celebrate World Youth Day at Loyola University. The theme of the day was, “God’s Calling…Can You Hear Him Now?” Speakers, prayer sessions, musicians, and Archbishop Aymond, all emphasized God is always calling us to Him and hearing God’s call can be challenging amidst our busy and noisy lives. Brother Martin was well represented by senior Kyle Puyau, who served as the day’s Master of Ceremony, Chris Maheu who proclaimed the second reading at the concluding Mass, and Mr. Michael Lynn ’04 who worked the sound, light, and video boards behind the scene.
